Parasitus at Night

The moon was high, a slight breeze blew through the empty streets. A howl could be heard in the distance. Onai let a smle play over her face as she listened to it. It wasn't a Garou howl, but a wolf howl. She loved hearing them at night, and would sometimes go out in the forest to join them. There songs were beautiful yet terrifying to most humans. Onai walked the streets, her pace was slow yet graceful. Her earings would shine bright whenever the moon set her gaze upon them. She stopped once she reached the castle gates. She looked up at and narrowed her eyes. News had reached her that Hazari killed the captain of the guard, barely letting his fiance, Amelia, escape. She knew Amelia, they were friends but now they hadn't talked much. With the wedding coming up and all, or it was. She continued to stare at the wall, barely noticing the guards on patrol.

The guards looked down to her, whispering to one another as one of them disappeared into the castle. The others all aimed their crossbows at the woman in the revealing clothes, blushing slightly as they could see down her top. "Hold it right there!" one of them shouted at her. "What is your business at the castle at this time of the night?" he questioned her. Each crossbow was pointed directly at her, there'd be no way she could avoid each and every one.

Hazari was still sat in the throne room. There was a wooden table that had been placed infront of him. Atop it was a map of all the kingdoms with various jottings and marks on them. He had a dagger in his left hand and kept picking it up and slamming back down onto the map where Essentia was. His katana was pointed downwards in his right hand. A guard the knocked on the door, Hazari's eyes moved to it, narrowing ever so slightly. "Come in." he ordered, the guard obeyed, bowing to one knee as he entered. "Your highness, There is a strange woman at the main gates." he said keeping his head bowed.

Hazari's eyebrows drew together. "Interesting." he said as he slammed the dagger into the table once more, making the guard jump. "Bring her in."

Onai held up her hands. "Whoa boys, I was just taking a walk and admiring the sites. That's all." She said, pulling her shirt up so it wasn't as revealing. She never missed it when a man stared. She wasn't scared because she had done nothing wrong. Was it a crime to wander the streets? She didn't think so but kept her hands in the air and waited to see what they would do. "Lovely night, isn't it?" She said, trying to break the tension.

The guards jaws clenched, the crossbows still pointed at her body. The guard then came running back to them. "The king said to bring her in." he said as guards on the ground floor were ordered to escort her. The gate was then opened, after which she was surrounded by several guards with swords pointing at her. Despite her attempt to make her clothing less revealing, it didn't stop the guards gorming at her.
"Come on." one of the guards said as he patted her down for weapons, taking sword and bag of gold from her. "Take her in." he told the others as they marched her into the castle. The gate was lowered once more and the others guards went back on duty. "You shoulda chosen another outfit to see the king in." one of the guards said as they approached the throne room. They knocked and waited for a reply.
Hazari's eyes moved over to the door with a smirk. "Enter." he said as the doors were pushed open.

Onai looked at the guard with narrowed eyes. "I wasn't expecting to see the king." She said, slightly irritated and pulled her shirt up farther. Now it wasn't as revealing but still. She looked into the room as the doors opened. "Not too bad." She thought to herself. Well of course it was going to be grand. It was the king's castle. She looked to Hazari and bowed her head. She didn't have a lot of respect for this one, not after what she had heard. "Amelia is probably already planning his death." She again thought to herself.

Hazari's eyes consumed her body. His tongue licked his lips slightly. "Who are you?" he asked as he managed to land his eyes on her face after they had consumed everywhere else. "And prey tell, why are you outside my castle at this hour?" he said as he slammed the dagger into the table once more before picking it up into his hands again. He twirled the katana slightly in his fingers. His eyes not leaving hers now. She was certainly dressed oddly. It wasn't something the usual resident of Parasitus would wear, but he couldn't say that he didn't like it.

Onai crossed her arms in front of her and leaned on one leg. She returned the stare, but not in a threatening way. "I am Onai, and like I told your guards. I was just taking a walk and I happened to pause in front of your castle." She said with some slight irritation, although she didn't jump when he slammed his dagger on the table. She hated repeating herself, it was like talking to a wall with some people. She drummed her fingers on her arm while she took him in as well. He was dressed like all rich people, fine clothing, well done hair. All that stuff.

Hazari slammed the dagger into the table, leaving it there this time. "Why?" he asked simply, he knew there was more to this woman than met the eye. But the eye didn't go wanting. "There's a reason why you happened to be strolling around the capital city of Parsitus and stopping outside my castle." he retorted simply, he despised people who treated him like a fool. It was one of the reason he'd had to kill his captain of the guard.
A smirk played over his face at the memory before turning plain once more as his eyes didn't move from staring into hers.

Onai again didn't jump, she only stared lazily at the dagger. "Yes there is a reason, I was admiring it. It is, I must say, far more grand than the ones I have seen." She stated simply, with a hint of admiration. "Tonight is a full moon, I was admiring her as well." She said, glancing out a nearby window, only to see it's shine. "Try me, human, and you will find out what this woman is made of." She thought, almost smirking at the faces they would make if they saw what she really was. But it would take a lot for her to reveal her Crinos form. Although her Lupus form wasn't bad, she was much larger than a normal wolf.

Hazari's eyes narrowed to her. The lies that were coming from her mouth. She was here for a reason. If the guards had not interrupted her, perhaps he would have seen for himself what her intentions were. She was definitely different from any human woman he'd met before. A vampire perhaps? A smirk moved over his face. Why would a vampire be here in Parasitus when they mostly resided in Essentia?
"Indeed. So there is no other reason you came here? Not to meet your king, whom in turn, would like to.. meet you." he said with a suggestive tone, a smirk playing over his lips.

Onai raised an eyebrow at his last comment. "Why would you want to meet me?" She asked curiously. "I do live right here, on the far end of the city." She stated, perhaps that would clear things up. "And besides, you have a wife." She said, shifting from one hip to the other. Oh, how she like to wipe that smirk off his face. She laughed in her mind though, men always thought that she wanted them.

Hazari smirked to her once more. A ploy of course. "Why wouldn't I? I would like to.. get to know you by.. exploring you." he said with a dark grin over his features. "I don't care where you live." he said with a light shrug. "All I know is that tonight, you will get to know me as much as I get to know you." he said lightly, maybe this would get her to show her true colours. "My wife is pregnant. She's doing her job." he said matter of factly, waving his hand to dismiss it.

Onai chuckled lightly. "Good for your, and I care why?" She said, placing her hands on her hips. "Besides, what makes you think I want to get to know you?" She asked, her expression went serious now. This is the part where men tried to force her, but they always underestimated her. Her eyes soon roamed throughout the room. Taking in all of its architecture, paintings, and other forms of decorations.

Hazari's eyebrow rose, she had fight in her, he liked that. "You want to get to know the king." he said with a smirk. He waved a hand, dismissing the guards. They closed the doors behind them, Hazari's expression then went serious. "Why are you really here lycan?" he stated simply, his eyes narrowing to her. "I have no interest in the garou nation. In fighting them nor anything else." he said as his eyes glared at her.
He picked up the dagger and turned it in his fingers. "State your intentions. But do not lie to me."

Onai eyebrow rose higher. "I am no lycan." She stated simply. It was going to take a lot more than that to get her to reveal her true nature. And usually if she did, they ended up dead. "I have only one intention, to walk around, admiring the night sky." She repeated her statement from earlier. That is all she wanted to do, she didn't feel like harassing the guards or anything. She had stopped that long ago. She rubbed her wrist gently, letting out a small smirk. The guards had forgotten her hidden dagger. She didn't make it know that it was there though.

Hazari traced a hand around his jaw lightly. Before a light smile formed over his face. "My mistake." he said calmly, there was no mistake. He then nodded his head to her. "Then you can get back to it." he said as he clapped his hands and the guard re-entered the room. "Please escort this.. charming lady back out." he said with a smile. The guards bowed to him before taking her back out. They lead her through the castle and back to the gate. They ordered for the gate to be opened, after which they escorted her out, closing it behind her once more. "Bye, beautiful." one of the guards said with a wink.

Onai rolled her eyes and blew a kiss to him. "Bye, boys." She said to the gaurds in a teasing manner, then started to walk off. She was slightly wary though, it wasn't like the king to admit he made a mistake. She continued her walk through the city but had the feeling that someone was watching her. She looked back every now and then, but saw no one. She soon turned into an alley way, any normal human woman wouldn't dare even to think of it. But, she wasn't a human woman.

Hazari's fingers traced over Essentia on the map. "So close yet so far.." he said as his fingers drummed onto the table. "1 stupid king and 3 idiotic princes." he spat onto the ground then. "That's all that stands in my way!" he said as he slammed his fist down onto the table. "All that stands in my way from claiming a second kingdom in my name." his eyes glared down to the word 'Essentia' which was etched onto the paper.
"Soon." he said before raising his head up to the tapastry above the door with the parasitus crest on it. "Very soon."
