Castle Courtyard

Amelia stopped for a moment, allowing her leg a moment of peace before she had to start up again. Sweat had beaded above her brow but she didn't mind. It showed that you were working hard, well not it Edgar's standards of course. The black wolf rustled in the bushes, Amelia turned to it and watched for the movement once again, but nothing. There was definetely something there. She slowly turned back to the trees and continued once more.

Edger snarled slightly as he sat up. His eyes opened once more. His finger pointed in the direction of the wolf. "Either get out here or I get a new fur coat for the winter months!" he snapped as he stood himself up with the help of his staff. He walked in the direction of the wolf, his eyes trained on the bush. "Out." he snapped shortly.

Amelia stopped, finally finished with the trees. She turned as Edgar went to the bush that the wolf was in. The black wolf growled slightly before emerging his ears were pinned as he eyed Edgar. He slowly made his way over to Amelia, once there he whined softly. She smiled lightly and went into a kneeling position. He lowered his head to her and licked her hand. Amelia gently rubbed the back of his head. It had been a long time since she smiled.

Edgar narrowed his eyes slightly in return to the wolf. He even snarled at it himself. "Did I say you could take a break?" he snapped at her. "Back to the technique training. You should be able to fight through pain now." he said simply as he glared at her before snarling at the wolf once more. "No pet dog is going to interrupt the training." he said simply, folding his arms over his chest.

Amelia looked up at him. "I am done with the trees." She said, no tone was held in her voice. She looked back down at the wolf, who was much larger than she expected. He growled and bared his teeth slightly, but Amelia patted him on the head. Calming him down a little bit. A smile once again went to her face for a brief moment before it disappeared again.

"I said technique training! Go!" he said pointing in the direction of the hut and training ground once more. "Set them up and continue training." he said as he looked to the wolf. "And unless the dog has something to offer, it can get lost as well." he said as his eyes flashed slightly. There was no time for this Zephy was no doubt on his way and she was only partially ready. He shook his head as he turned and walked back to the hut.

Amelia watched him go, her eyes were narrow slits. She turned to the wolf once more and rubbed his ears before getting up to go. She quickly set the dummies back up and began the technique training. The pain started to dull in her hands and feet. She really didn't pay attention to them at the moment. The wolf in turn did not leave, but tilted his head and watched Amelia. He moved closer but not too close.

"Good!" Edgar shouted to her. "Now try the speed of the fingers from the training exercise I taught you." he said his eyes fixed onto her. "The faster your hands and fingers move, the more strikes you're able to land before your opponent has the chance the retaliate." he said simply a faint flicked of a smile on his face. She was nearly finished with her training. It had been months but she was so close to the end.

Amelia was surprised at his encouragement but didn't let that show. She moved faster, using her fingers like he said to do. As if they were actual opponents, the dummies fell before her. She could feel a sudden surge of energy burst through her as she continued, a little bit a of her rage came out as well. She had kept it well hidden these last few months.

"No!" he snapped to her as he walked over. He slammed the end of his staff into the ground several times. "Never let your rage come out in battle! Never!" he snapped to her. "Rage is uncontrollable. You could be the best fighter in the world and yet rage would disprove that." he said as he shook his head to her. "Again! Do not allow the rage out. You must control it. No matter what is said or done." he said simply. "I will demonstrate. Jacques was a pathetic waste of a life! He couldn't fight! He couldn't even protect you!" he said trying to force the rage out to see if she could contain it.

Amelia stiffened slightly but remained calm. It was hard, believe it or not. Jacques was a good man and he did everything to protect her. Amelia took in a deep breath before releasing it. Her rage soon went away. Her eyes trained themselves on Edgar once more. The wolf watched her with growing curiousity. Learning all that he could.

Edgar placed a hand on her shoulder. "Good. Very good." he said as he patted it lightly. "I knew Jacques a long time. Since he got the position. He was a good man." he said as a frown flicked over his face. "But the enemy will try and entice you like that. With rage you are in a sense blind. So it is easier for them to attack and evade." he said as he removed her hand from her.
"That's all for today." he said as he made his way back into the hut. "You can either rest or continue to train alone. It's up to you." he said as he unlocked the door and entered the hut.

Amelia nodded her head to him and watched him leave. She to the side of the hut and sat down. Pulling out the two pieces of Jacques sowrd that she managed to recover. She inspected them both carefully. It could be repaired and made stronger, she would do that once the training was done. The black wolf came over to her and layed down.

Zephyrus watched as she trained as was impressed by what he saw. He smirked lightly as the old man had scolded her for her rage. That would be where he would try to hit her hard. He had found them but he didn't make a move, he remembered what Hazari said. "I've got you now." He almost laughed but kept quiet as he moved away. He headed back to the castle.
