Castle Courtyard

Hazari laughed darkly. "Not if they know what's good for them lad!" he said with a smile. "I like your enthusiasm to get the job done. Not wanting things to get in your way. You will go far in this kings court." he said with a confirming nod. "Now. I want you to find out everything you can about Amelia's recent movements. Start with her lycan friend. She apparently lives in the kingdom somewhere." he said with a smirk.

"I will be testing you. Count on that!" he said as he pointed his staff to her. "Don't just put them up your moron!" he shouted shaking his head. "You know how they go, set the damn things up." he said tapping his staff on the floor. "It's all part of the training. Preparing for battle is just as import as the battle. So preparing for training is just as important as the training itself." he said with a firm. "Now get to it or feel my staff around your skull!"

Zephyrus smiled lightly before nodding his head. "It will be done." He said affirmitavly. "I like to do things quick and fast, it saves the trouble of what happens when you do it slowly." He said with a dark smirk. "May I ask what plans you have for Amelia?" He said, his face turned serious. Showing that he meant no disrespect but was curious.

Amelia sighed lightly, it never got old. His constant nagging and insults she was used to but he did something new everytime. "Alright." Was all she said. Then she quickly went to setting the equipment up. Making sure everything was ready to go before once again turning back to Edgar.

Hazari clapped his hands together. "I'm glad to hear it." he rose an eyebrow to him then. "My thoughts exactly captain! No time for these people that take their time over things. When something needs to be done, do it!" he said with a nod. The smile drained from his face at his next question. "You may not." he said simply before a sadistic smile moved over his lips once more. "But I appreciate your courage for asking. Now go."

Edgar watched as she set them up, correcting her as she did until she put them up right. "Now. Show me what you've learned so far. If anything!" he barked at her. He had begun to care for the girl like the daughter he never had. He wanted to push her to make her the best that she could possibly be. This is the best way that he knew how to do it.

Zephyrus nodded his head. "As you wish, your highness." He said before bowing his head and leaving the room. On his way out of the castle, his thoughts turned to Amelia yet again. It would be nice to see her again. Yet he would do as he was told and not touch her until the king said so.

Amelia let a hidden scowl play over her face but she did what she was told. She couldn't help but sense that he somehow cared for her, yet he made sure not to show it. She took a stance in front of one of the dummies. Within in seconds it was on the ground, busted in half. She quickly moved through out them, using all that she had learned to take them down.

Edger watched her like a hawk. "Very good." he said lightly. "For an infant!" he retorted to her. "Set them back up and do it again!" he spat to her. In truth she did very well, but he knew she could do better. "This time do it to a woman's standard. Then surpass it! Women are inferior." he stated simply. "If that's all you have to offer then Hazari and his new captain of the guard will make short work of your pathetic attempts."

Amelia nodded her head and set the dummies back up. She would show him what this woman was fully made of. She quickly started where she did before, only this time, she used a different technique. Instead of hitting the dummy head on, she flipped over it. Quickly disabling it as if it had a weapon before moving on to the next one. Her movements were quick this time, delivered at the precise spots that would cause any normal man immense amounts of pain.

"Better." he said as he relaxed back into his chair. Before pushing himself onto his feet. He moved over to a large boulder on the side near the trees. "You will now attempt to smash this bolder with your bare hands." he said simply. Looking over his shoulder to her with a raised eyebrow. "You wont rest until it is rubble. Do you understand me?" he said before moving into the hut. "After that is done. You will make dinner." he said with a smirk.

Ameliaraised an eyebrow but didn't show any emotion. On the inside, she was thinking it was nearly impossible. "I understand." She said simply, before moving over to the boulder. She inspected it carefully, running her hands over certain spots. Finally, she backed up a little bit. She placed the tips of her fingers against it. Her hand quickly turned into a fist as she struck the hard rock, but to no avail. She did it again and again and again. She growled as she struck another time.

Edgar strained his hearing in the hut. "Harder! I want to hear the fist hitting the stone!" he shouted to her with a light smile. He laid himself down on the bed comfortably. Looking up to the ceiling as he listened out for her. He knew it'd be a matter of time before the captain of the guard would find them, if he wanted Amelia as bad as people were saying he did. But he was nothing that he couldn't handle, but then again, he wasn't as young as he once was.

Amelia let out another growl as she struck the boulder with all her might. Again and again she hit it, her knuckles were bleeding but she didn't care. Soon, a crack split through the air. Surprisingly, it was her knuckles, it was the boulder. A larger chunk soon slid to the ground. She smiled lightly before striking at the rock again.

He folded his arms behind his head. "Use only one hand. Once that has been made into rubble. Use the other hand to smash the other one at the back of the house." he said simply. A frown played over his features as worry entered his mind. If he found them here, he'd tell the king and they'd both be dead.
He rubbed his eyes lightly with his hand and he shook his head. Only time would tell if she could be strong enough to take them down.

Amelia continued to pound the the boulder, after what seemed like hours. She had finally reduced the boulder to rubble. Her hand was pounding and blood trickled down it. She shook it off and walked to the back of the house to find yet another large boulder. She let out a huff as she brought her other hand up and started in on this boulder. After awhile, she came around front and stood in the doorway. "It is done." She said simply.

Edgar opened his eyes slowly. He'd dozed off, she'd been at it for hours. He watched the blood drip from her hands. "Dinner isn't going to make itself." he said as he turned around and placed his feet to the floor sitting on the edge of the bed. "After dinner. You will chop down 100 trees with each foot." he said simply. "But first we eat." he said with a smile as his stomach rumbled to him. "The kitchen is over there."

Amelia turned and headed to the kitchen, before she made dinner. She washed her hands, the blood dripped away. Her fingers seemed to groan as she flexed them slightly, she winced but that was all. She then set about making dinner, her fingers cracked as she made the food. She didn't turn to look at Edgar, only listened as he moved around.

Zephyrus had scowered the entire nation in search of the lycan ally. It hadn't been easy but she finally found her. He slammed her into the wall by her throat. "If you want to keep your head, dog! I suggest you tell me where she is!" He snarled angrily. Onai let out a growl and tried to shift into her Crinos form. But she couldn't, he had put another slash down her back as she tried to escape.

Edgar rubbed his neck lightly. "Make something wholesome. You'll need your strength." he said with with a slight laugh. "Make sure you cut the trees down a fair bit away from the hut. I like my privacy." he said simply as he yawned loudly. "You will learn something new afterwards. Afterwards you will be able to endure more and inflict more pain." he said with a stoney expression once more. "But you wont be up to. You're only a woman."

Amelia rolled her eyes, luckily she was facing away from him. She continued to make the food, deciding on some deer meat. She had shot a nice doe down earlier. She stopped for a moment at his next comment. "That's what you think." She muttered quietly before going back to the food. She started a small fire and put the deer meat on a wooden stick and set it over the fire. Watching it carefully.

Zephyrus smirked at Onai. "I don't think so, bitch!" He hissed and pressed a dagger to her throat. "Now, where is she? I know you are her friend and know of her where abouts." He said, staring into her eyes. Onai only staredback. "No one knows where she is, not even I...although I had heard she went into the forest to hide." She said quietly but pointed him in the wrong direction.

Edgar watched her with dagger like eyes. They narrowed as he heard her mutter before picking up a piece of wood on the floor and flinging it at the back of her head. "That's what I know, girl!" he said as it slammed into the back of her head. "If you'd done your training right, that wouldn't have hit you. Pathetic." he snapped at her. "Now hurry up with dinner damn it!"

Amelia rubbed the back of her head before going back to dinner. She didn't say anything more for she ould only get hit. Every once and awhile she would snap, then recieve a blow to the head. Soon, the deer meat was ready. She fixed him a plate and plopped it down in front of him. Then turned and headed outside.

Edgar rubbed his hands together. "Let's hope this tastes better than your fighting abilities." he said as he picked up the meet and began to rip into it with his teeth. He watched her leave the hut before his gaze softened. He was ready if Zephy turned up, but he certainly wasn't a young man any more. He continued to rip into the meat, it was well cooked, the woman did know her place after all he thought as he chuckled lightly.
"Remember! 100 tree's with each foot! Far from the hut. I don't want to be exposed." he called out to her.

Amelia ignored his comment as she went into the forest, simply waving her hand as he told her again how many trees. She knew she had done the meat well, but that didn't put her in her place. Not in her mind. She found some trees a good distance away. Without a word, she set to work at the task that was given to her.

Zephyrus smirked lightly. He knew if Onai was her friend that she would only give him the wrong direction. But he already knew that Edgar had headed into the forest somewhere, a guard had told him. He dropped Onai to the ground and she landed with a thud. He left her where she was and turned and left.

Edgar finished the meat and let out a loud belch. He patted his chest then. "Ahh, better." he said with a smile as he stood himself up. He stretched his hands high above his head as his bones cracked one at a time. "Much better!" he said as he rolled his neck and shoulders. He picked up his staff once more before going into practise himself. He spun the staff around in his fingers before bringing a kick around into the side of an imaginary opponent before slamming the point of the stick straight at it.
"Still got it." he said as he placed the staff down and leaned into it.

Amelia's leg was getting sore and starting to hurt, she only had twenty more to go with her one leg. She brushed it off and went to work once more. Soon, she had finished off the last twenty. She started on the next one hundred trees with her other leg. Unknown to her, a pair of wolf's eyes were watching her intently. His black fur was excellent camoflauge in the shadows of the forest.

Edgar shook his head as he made his way out of the door, closing and locking the door behind him. "No damn animals are getting in here." he said as he moved around it, making sure all the windows were also closed and locked. "Good." he said simply as he set off in the direction he knew she'd gone. As he approached he leaned himself against a tree. "Leave this one. I'm sitting here." he said across to her as he sat himself down against it. "Carry on."

Amelia turned to look at him as he came, huffing slightly before she turned back to the trees. She caught a glimpse of something, something black. She eyed it for a moment, then turned back to the trees. She had fifty more to go. The black wolf was still there, watching, except he wasn't watching for a meal. He was watching to see when he could approach the female. Him and her had a lot in common.

Edgar closed his eyes but was still perfectly aware of every thing that was going on around him. Even though it would appear he was sound asleep. His staff was clutched loosely in his hand as it lay across his lap. But if anyone tried to take it the grip would tighten and they would be in a hell of a lot of pain. He even allowed his head to tilt slightly to give the illusion of sleep even more.
