Garou is the name given to the lycanthrope race. They are being of immense physical strength, and in some cases, spiritual depth.
Garou history, and the generalised belief of them, are that they are children of the force Gaia; created by her, and her warriors in the world.
A lot of Lycans see Gaia as a God, but there is no proof of that, meerly a general racial belief. Unlike all other races, Garou are not bound to Hell or Heaven, but instead when they die, their souls will travel to Umbra and one of its various levels.
Unlike werewolfism, Lycanthropy is not a disease, but an inheritable trait. Since the Garou are both Wolf and Man, they may breed with either. The lycan gene is strong, and will be the most dominant unless their mother or father's race will contradict this. However, lycanthropy may be passed on to another through a bite.
All Garou see themselves as kin, as family, and will often refer themselves as 'Brother' or 'Sister'. They extend the same to wolves, knowing that they are their cousins in race.
The Lycans are the most powerfully advanced race; their strength is unmatched.
Their speed, while surpassing the human race, does not match a vampire. They instead blur, their body moving too fast for humans to completely follow.
