A Life Sprouts

Fenian looked down to his daughter in his arms. "She'll get plenty of that." he said as he kissed her head lightly once more. He grinned down to her as she snuggled into his chest, tears in his eyes. He looked across to his wife, there truly wasn't two other people that he could love more.

Isadora smiled and reached up to stroke her husbands face. "Let us go." She said then lead him out of the chambers and out o the palace. As the large wooden doors opened to reveal them to the city, the crowd roared with applause and cheers. A smile was upon every elfs face as they watched the king and queen come with their newborn. Vanya was calm, her arms stretched above her head as she giggled.

Fenian lifted her head to his wife as she stroked his face. He nodded as she lead him out of the palace. He smiled to the crowd, holding his daughter still in his arms. He watched the giggling little Vanya with a light shake of his head, the grin on his face. "My fellow elves, I give you, Princess Vanya!" he said as he held her up slightly to the roaring crowd.

Isadora smiled brillantly as she watched the crowd. The cheers filled her heart with joy, knowing that they had already accepted their princess. "One day, she will take our place. Try to go easy on her." She said, a few chuckles ran through the crowd. She smiled then looked at Vanya. Her eyes wouldn't open for a little while, but she could still hear everything.

"Otherwise you will have me to contend with!" Fenian said with a bright laugh. He already knew he would protect Vanya to his dying breath. He looked forward to raising her within the safety of their elven culture. However some of the younger generations, were curious about the world beyond. About humans, goblins, vampires, lycans, their curiosity was something that concerned Fenian deeply.
He wondered if his own daughter would follow that lead. There were horrible things that each of the races had done. But could they be absolved, like the new alliance with the dwarves had seemed to have done for them?

Isadora smiled and and patted her husbands arm. "One day, she will be a great leader." She said, her finger gently stroked her daughter's cheek. Then she turned to once again face the nation. "Let the festivities begin!" She shouted, which was met by a cheer as the elves began to dance and sing. Music from various intruments could be heard playing as well as clapping. The queen watched with a light smile before looking back to her family. She too was curious of the outside world, yet much more cautious.

Fenian felt Isadora's hand on his shoulder with a raise of his eyebrow, before laughing slightly. "Of course she will. Have you seen her parents?" he joked lightly. His eyes moved to his daughter who seemed to be smiling at the music that was now filling the air. "I think we're going to have a real partier here.." he said as he nuzzled his nose against hers gently.

Isadora laughed as her arm moved around his waist. "You just wait until she reaches her teens, then she will be quite a handful." She said, giving him a wink. Only to laugh once more, it would be hard for both of them as they watched their daughter grow. But who is say they won't have more. It was a possibility, but for now, they would concentrate on Vanya.
