Roleplaying Rules Empty
PostSubject: Roleplaying Rules   Roleplaying Rules EmptyMon May 30, 2011 9:22 am

These Rules must be followed when Roleplaying:

o All Starters must include a description of the area.
This is to prevent people making things up completely, and roleplaying in the dark. We do not need an indepth description; a picture may suffice. Something that will allow people to know where they are joining in.

o All Replies must be a paragraph
We measure a paragraph as five sentences. This isn't a big ask, nor do the sentences need to be unlimitedly long. Six words per line if you wish to do the minimum, making all replies miniumum of thirty words.
Anything shorter may be ignored.

o Use of Grammar and Spelling
We don't expect complete perfection in every post, but we do expect a quality of your replies. Spelling mistakes and typo's may exist, but the fewer the better. Your sentence must also make sense.
If people are unable to read your reply for whatever reason, it will be rendered invalid.

o Private Scenes
We do not encourage these, but we understand some people may wish to host them.
If this is the case, your topic title must include [PR], indicating it is private. However, we will monitor all posts closely; if you only do private posts, you will be cautioned.
Private scenes may also not exist in an open area. They must be in a house, or a palace etc.
If you wish to join a [PR] topic, send a PM to the participants asking to join. If they agree, you may reply. If not, then that was their choice.

o Ignoring characters.
We discourage the open ignorance of people's characters. By this I mean if someone walked in, and you do not acknowledge them in some way. We will accept if your characte rlooks at them, then ignores them, but they must be acknowledged should they join.

o Leaving a Post
If you need to go offline in the middle of a busy scene, your character must either leave IC, or you must send a note into the thread saying you have to go and therefore cannot reply.
No post may be 'held' for you to reply, unless it is short and the others agree to it. Do not come and whine if you were in a good scene and had to go, and when you came back the scene was over.

o Ending a scene
When you have finsihed a roleplay, the last person must post [COMPLETED] at the end of their final post.
Then, if they have left, a note must be sent to the thread starter to tell them to change the topic title to [COMPLETE]. This allows the Administrators to check for old posts and delte them if the forum is becomming cluttered.
If you want to save your roleplay this is your job and not ours.

All of these rules must be upheld, or repercussions will be administers.
